Amy Bohigian
Founder/Director/Producer/WriterAmy Bohigian has been a full-time Creator, Director, and Producer based in Nelson BC since 2007 when she founded Watershed Productions Inc. She has received development funding, production financing, license and distribution deals with Knowledge Network, Creative BC, National Film Board of Canada, Canada Media Fund, CMPA, Canada Council for the Arts, Films Media Group and many others. Bohigian has received awards and participated in mentorship programs from Women in the Director’s Chair Story and Leadership Program, WIFTV, Banff World Media Festival Spark Accelerator Fellow, Hot Docs Accelerator Fellow, Shaw Media Scholar, Pacific Screenwriting Institute Storyroom at Whistler Film Festival, DOXA, IDFA, DOC Impact Award, and Canada Council for the Arts. She has been a faculty member with the Digital Arts and New Media Program at Selkirk College in Nelson BC since 2015. She earned a Master’s in Education from Harvard University in 1999 and her Advanced Diploma in Filmmaking from Selkirk College in 2007.
Bohdan Doval
CinematographerBohdan has been behind the camera for over 15 years having grown up in the Kootenays. His passion for cinematography lead him into the film and video industry over 10 years ago when he founded Bohdan Doval Digital Media. Bohdan heads up the camera department with Watershed Productions Inc. bringing his attention to detail, willingness to do whatever it takes to get a good shot and his laid back demeanour to every shoot. Bohdan and Amy have worked on location shooting for tourism spots, social impact campaigns, scripted shorts and documentary features.
Ben Euerby
ComposerBen has over 20 years experience writing music for film and TV. Ben has scored documentaries for Knowledge Network, trailers for Red Bull Media House, commercial music for Global TV among many other projects as a professional composer. As Founder of Knome Studies, Ben brings an intuitive sensibility and hard work ethic to finding the right instrumentation and approach for any project. He can write music for any genre, mood and tempo. Growing up in Nelson BC, Ben graduated from the Selkirk College Contemporary Music and Technology Program with a Diploma in Composition.
Carlo Alcos
Location Sound and Post ProductionCarlo has been working as a freelance videographer since 2016 as an editor, videographer, location sound recordist and post sound mixer and designer. He's been working with Watershed Productions on the last few projects recording sound on location and working in various roles in post-production. Carlo started his career in digital media in 2008 as a writer and editor with Matador Network. He helped to grow their social media presence through the use of video from half a million to over 2 million followers.
Jane Byers
WriterJane Byers has published two poetry collections, Acquired Community, (2016, Caitlin Press-Dagger Editions), a 2017 Goldie Award Winner for Poetry and Steeling Effects (2014, Caitlin Press). Jane has had poems and essays published in literary journals in Canada, the U.S. and England, including Best Canadian Poetry 2014. Jane’s memoir, Small Courage (Caitlin Press 2020) was released to positive reviews in the Vancouver Sun and other publications.
John Tucker
Sound Design and MixJohn Tucker is a Gemini Award winning sound designer, editor and composer. His work has appeared on CBS, ABC, FOX, PBS, HBO, CBC, YTV and TeleToon. He is a long time faculty member at Selkirk College, teaching in the Music Program with the School of the Arts. He has received Canada Council Grants for audio production. He was the sound editor and designer for Dreamers and Dissidents and Only in Nelson.
